In a solemn gesture of respect for the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has announced the postponement of the high-level meeting with Secretaries to State Governments, originally slated for July 15th and 16th, 2025, in Jos, Plateau State.
This was contained in a statement signed by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stating that the postponement comes in line with the period of national mourning and the state burial arrangements declared by the Federal Government, following the passing of the elder statesman.
The meeting, which was intended to foster stronger collaboration between federal and state governments, will be rescheduled. A new date is expected to be communicated in due course.
