The Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, CON, mni, on Monday led Nigeria’s delegation to the opening of the Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the world’s premier exhibitions for the aerospace and defence industries.
Air Vice Marshal A.Y. Abdullahi, who represented the Chief of the Air Staff, accompanied the Minister to the event, which was formally inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Emir of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
A statement by Mati Ali, Personal Assistant (Media & Publicity) to the Minister of Defence, noted that the Nigerian delegation joined other global leaders, innovators, and government representatives at the opening ceremony.
Minister Badaru toured major exhibition stands and facilities, where leading aerospace manufacturers showcased cutting-edge technologies and equipment.
The Dubai Airshow, a biennial gathering, is regarded as a major platform for promoting international collaboration, fostering business growth, and unveiling advancements in aerospace, space, and defence technology.
Nigeria’s participation, according to the Ministry, highlights the country’s commitment to strengthening defence capabilities, embracing technological innovation, and engaging more actively in global defence partnerships.
