Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has called on Tiv political appointees in the state to strengthen unity and build deeper ties with their counterparts beyond state lines in the collective interest of regional harmony and national development.
Governor Sule made the appeal on Tuesday evening while hosting a solidarity delegation of Tiv appointees at the Government House in Lafia. The group was led by Engr. Moses Otondo, former President of the Tiv Development Association (TIDA), Nasarawa State, and currently serving as the Governor’s Special Adviser.
Speaking during the visit, Engr. Otondo, alongside other past TIDA presidents Hon. Solomon Pevkyaa and Hon. Peter Ahemba expressed gratitude to the governor for what they described as unprecedented inclusivity and representation of the Tiv people under his administration.
“This is the first time the Tiv community in Nasarawa is enjoying such visibility and participation in governance,” Engr. Otondo said. “Your leadership has given our people a renewed sense of belonging.”
He further urged the governor to remain resolute and undeterred by the voices of detractors, whom he described as misinformed about the current administration’s strides. Otondo also reaffirmed the Tiv community’s unwavering support for Governor Sule’s leadership and policy direction.
In a strong show of solidarity, the delegation unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the governor, applauding his commitment to inclusive governance and peaceful coexistence across ethnic lines.
The visit, facilitated by the Directorate of Strategic Communication of the Nasarawa State Government, underscores the administration’s ongoing efforts to promote unity and deepen interethnic collaboration for sustained peace and development.
