In a masterstroke of precision and power, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), delivered a punishing blow to Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, neutralizing several high-value commanders and fighters in a meticulously executed air interdiction operation.
According to a statement from the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the decisive airstrike took place on 27 July 2025, targeting ARINA WOJE a notorious ISWAP stronghold nestled deep within the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State.
Long regarded as a safe haven for top insurgent leaders, the location had recently seen a resurgence of terrorist activity following internal clashes within ISWAP factions.
This game-changing operation was driven by credible Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) efforts that uncovered suspicious movement of fighters, reactivation of key structures, and hidden command and logistics nodes masked by thick vegetation.
Armed with this intelligence, NAF deployed its air assets with precision. Upon arrival, aircrew swiftly locked onto pre-identified targets and unleashed precision-guided munitions with devastating accuracy.
The result: multiple structures obliterated, top ISWAP figures eliminated, and critical logistics facilities destroyed crippling the terrorist group’s operational capabilities and supply chains in the region.
Preliminary battle damage assessments confirm that the strike significantly disrupted ISWAP’s ability to coordinate, plan, and execute attacks, delivering yet another crippling setback to their desperate campaign of terror.
This mission underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s unyielding resolve to dominate the battlespace, deny terrorists any safe haven, and support the gallant troops on the ground in restoring peace and stability across the Northeast and beyond.
