RATTAWU SEEKS PARTNERSHIP WITH NYSC RADIO/TV FOR QUALITY BROADCASTING

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) has expressed its readiness to partner with NYSC Radio and Television, Abuja, in order to enhance quality broadcasting across all spheres.

In a statement signed by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the National President of RATTAWU, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, made this known during a courtesy visit to the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja.

Kalu commended the NYSC Radio and Television for their informative, educative and entertaining programmes, as well as their objective news reportage. He further praised the NYSC Management for its commitment to grooming Corps Members for leadership, national unity and integration, while also empowering them with entrepreneurial skills and financial pathways to self-reliance.

“We love what you are doing, and we have come to identify with you to encourage hard work. We need to have a strategic partnership,” he stated.

Responding, the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, explained that NYSC Radio 88.3FM and Television were established to project the activities of the Scheme and amplify government programmes in the media space.

He added that the platforms also serve as a training ground for Corps Members interested in pursuing careers in broadcasting after their service year.

General Nafiu affirmed the Scheme’s readiness to collaborate with RATTAWU in ways that would enrich the station’s programming and prepare Corps Members for a more productive future. He equally commended Comrade Kalu for his purposeful leadership and remarkable achievements since assuming office.
