29/2026The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of applications for the Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 29/2026, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for commission as officers.
According to the announcement, the recruitment exercise is open to both civilians and serving military personnel who meet the eligibility requirements.
Successful applicants will be commissioned into selected corps of the Nigerian Army, including the Nigerian Army Engineers, Nigerian Army Signals, Nigerian Army Medical Corps, Nigerian Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and the Nigerian Army Education Corps.
The application process, which is free of charge, will be conducted exclusively online and will run from 7 January to 4 February 2026.
The Nigerian Army advised interested candidates to obtain detailed information and submit their applications through its official recruitment portal at recruitment.army.mil.ng.
