He noted that their invaluable contributions continue to strengthen operational excellence across various spheres of service, while their commitment to duty, teamwork and leadership reflects the core values of the Nigerian Air Force.

Air Marshal Aneke emphasized that the Nigerian Air Force will continue to create opportunities and provide an enabling environment where female officers and airwomen can thrive, excel and contribute meaningfully to the defence and security of the nation.

He added that through collaboration, shared responsibility and mutual support, the Service will continue to benefit from the unique strengths and capabilities of its female personnel.

International Women’s Day is celebrated globally every year on March 8 to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in social, economic, cultural and political spheres, while also advocating gender equality, inclusion and the empowerment of women and girls across the world.

The day also serves as a call for collective action to accelerate progress toward equal opportunities for women in all sectors of society.
