The Nigerian Air Force Institute of Administrative Management (NAFIAM) has commenced full-scale training activities at its new permanent site in Otuokpoti, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism and capacity development within the Nigerian Air Force.

The milestone was marked on 7 May 2026 with the inauguration of 267 pioneer students for various courses, including Young Officers Course 20/2026, Initial Personnel Administrative Management Course 33/2026, as well as clerical, music, physical education and information assistant courses.
The relocation of the institute is in line with the vision of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, to reposition NAF training institutions for standardized training and enhanced operational effectiveness.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Commandant of NAFIAM, Air Commodore Isaiah Taiwo, expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff for relocating the institute to a more conducive environment for learning and professional development. He noted that the new permanent site would significantly improve the institute’s capacity to deliver quality instruction in administration and other critical military specialties.

Air Commodore Taiwo also commended the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal AG Kehinde, for his leadership and support toward the successful relocation and operational readiness of the institute. He stated that the courses were designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to effectively discharge responsibilities in line with their ranks and duties.
The Commandant urged the students to remain disciplined, focused and committed throughout the training period. He further reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force leadership under Air Marshal Aneke to sustained investment in personnel welfare, infrastructure and training in order to improve operational efficiency and service delivery across the Service.
