The Chief of Defence Space Administration (CDSA), Major General Philip Ilodibia, has undertaken an operational assessment visit to the Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI, in Maiduguri, Borno State, as part of efforts to strengthen joint military operations in Nigeria’s counter-insurgency campaign.

The visit, which took place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, provided the CDSA with an opportunity to receive comprehensive briefings on the activities and progress of Operation HADIN KAI.

In a statement issued by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Major General Ilodibia explained that the visit was aimed at gaining first-hand insight into the technical operations of the recently established Modular Earth Observation Outpost (MEOO) Team deployed to the theatre. He added that it would also deepen collaboration between the Defence Space Administration and the Theatre Command.
