NIGERIAN ARMY URGES PUBLIC TO FOLLOW VERIFIED SOCIAL MEDIA HANDLES FOR ACCURATE INFORMATION

The Nigerian Army has advised journalists, media practitioners, and the general public to rely only on its verified social media platforms for accurate and credible information about its operations and activities.

This call comes amid the growing spread of deepfakes, disinformation, and malinformation across digital platforms, where unverified and misleading content can easily circulate and distort public perception.

In a statement issued by the Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, the Nigerian Army emphasized the importance of sourcing information directly from official channels to avoid being misled by false narratives.
