In a statement by the Instructor, Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information, Captain Christian Onyemachi, the Commandant made the call during the graduation ceremony held on 19 September 2025 at the Lt Gen TA Lagbaja Auditorium, Muhammadu Buhari Cantonment, Giri, Abuja. He emphasized that the knowledge and skills acquired were crucial for the Nigerian military and the nation at large, particularly in an era where information management, strategic communication, and media operations have become indispensable tools in both peace and conflict situations.

Lt Col Ngulde noted that the Nigerian military continues to contend with dynamic and complex security challenges, ranging from counter-insurgency to internal security and stability operations. In all these, he underscored that effective information management and communication are as vital as kinetic operations. He affirmed that NASPRI has remained consistent in aligning its training with the overall command philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, which is “To Consolidate the Transformation of the Nigerian Army Towards Bequeathing a Well-Motivated and Combat-Ready Force that can Effectively Discharge its Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint and Multi-Agency Environment.”

The Commandant expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff for his unwavering support to NASPRI, noting that his commitment to the professional development of military personnel in public relations has significantly enhanced the institution’s capabilities. He also extended appreciation to the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral EI Ogalla, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal HB Abubakar, for their continued confidence in the school and for sending personnel to benefit from its courses. He equally acknowledged the support of the Commander TRADOC, Major General Kevin Aligbe, and the Chief of Training (Army), Major General Abubakar Ndalolo, whose contributions have helped NASPRI sustain its role as a critical component in the Army’s training architecture.

Presenting the course appraisal, the Acting Chief Instructor of the school, Major Tonye Wenke, explained that the students underwent rigorous theoretical and practical assessments in diverse subjects designed to sharpen their proficiency. He disclosed that at the course inauguration, the students were advised to strictly adhere to established rules and the School Standard Operating Procedure. He expressed satisfaction that the graduands demonstrated discipline and determination throughout the training, which was reflected in their above-average performance.

The event climaxed with the presentation of certificates to the graduands, awards to outstanding students, and a group photograph in front of the NASPRI complex.
