The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing strategic defence cooperation with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) following a high-level delegation visit on Tuesday, 26 August 2025.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (CPAC), Air Vice Marshal Hakim Raza, held discussions with NAF leadership on technology sharing, advanced training, fleet maintenance, and joint development initiatives to bolster the operational capacity of both air forces.
Receiving the delegation at NAF Headquarters on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Iboro Etukudo, Chief of Policy and Plans, described the enduring partnership between the two forces as collaborative, mutually beneficial, and trust-driven.
He highlighted that strengthening strategic partnerships remains central to the CAS’s agenda of transforming the NAF into a more agile and resilient force capable of responding effectively to evolving national security challenges.
The delegation was accompanied by Pakistan’s Deputy Chief of Air Staff Operations, Air Vice Marshal Aurang Zeb, and the Pakistan Defence Attaché to Nigeria, Colonel Kamran Mushtab.
The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to regional security, operational excellence, and mutual growth. It also aligns with the CAS’s Command Philosophy of prioritising research and development, leveraging cutting-edge technology, and applying lessons learned to enhance force readiness.
