The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), through the 115 Special Operations Group (115 SOG) Port Harcourt, has rounded off its 2025 Shooting Range Classification Exercise.

The three-day exercise, held from 26 to 28 August at the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Range in Onne, Rivers State, was organised to sharpen marksmanship, enhance discipline, and test combat readiness of personnel.

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, placed strong emphasis on realistic training, operational readiness, and integration of joint forces, all of which the exercise embodied.

Highlighting interagency collaboration, the event featured the participation of senior officers and guest firers from the Nigerian Navy and other security formations.

Their involvement underscored the shared vision of the Armed Forces leadership to promote unity of purpose and strengthen collective responsibility in securing the nation.

By hosting the event at a naval facility and engaging sister services, 115 SOG not only improved the combat competence of its personnel but also reinforced the culture of jointness in line with modern military operations.

All participants, including officers, airmen, airwomen, and guest firers, were rigorously tested and certified.

The NAF maintained that the 2025 classification exercise was not just a measure of proficiency, but also a milestone in advancing inter-service trust, cooperation, and synergy in the pursuit of national security.
