The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (AC OPHK), has intensified its counterterrorism efforts in the North East, neutralising scores of terrorists and destroying their hideouts in Borno State.

According to a statement released by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the precision strikes were executed on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at about 10:50 a.m. following credible intelligence and surveillance reports.

Reconnaissance missions had revealed unusual movements at Bula Madibale in the Gezuwa general area, where approximately 45 terrorists had assembled. Many of them reportedly arrived on motorcycles and bicycles from various directions to join the gathering. Intelligence further confirmed the presence of two hoisted terrorist flags at the location, indicating its use as a stronghold and rallying point.

Acting swiftly on this intelligence, the Air Component launched a coordinated interdiction that achieved devastating effects. Several terrorists were neutralised, while the flagged structure and other hostile assets within the enclave were destroyed.

This operation highlights the NAF’s sustained determination to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them the ability to regroup or launch attacks, and safeguard communities in the North East. It further reassures Nigerians of the Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to restoring lasting peace and stability across the region.
