The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of the Joint Task Force North-East (Operation Hadin Kai), has recorded another decisive blow against terrorism in the North-East.

In a statement issued on 3 September 2025, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, disclosed that a well-coordinated air interdiction mission struck a newly identified terrorist enclave located west of Zuwa in the Sambisa general area.

The operation, launched on the strength of credible intelligence and confirmatory surveillance, targeted hideouts sheltering fighters and commanders linked to recent hostilities around Bitta.

According to the statement, the precision strikes proved devastating as more than 15 terrorists were neutralised while key structures vital to their operations were destroyed.

The latest achievement, Ejodame noted, highlights the NAF’s steadfast resolve to protect the lives and property of Nigerians, while providing sustained air support to ground forces engaged in counterterrorism operations.

With each successful mission, the Nigerian Air Force continues to demonstrate vigilance, professionalism, and decisive airpower in the collective drive towards dismantling terrorist networks and restoring lasting peace in the region.
