The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Component of Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Sector 3 has carried out multiple coordinated missions across Kakihun, Oke-Ode, Babanla, and surrounding areas in furtherance of ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and support ground operations.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the missions conducted on 28 September 2025 involved reconnaissance and close air support operations aimed at deterring threats and protecting military and civilian assets.
Air Commodore Ejodame disclosed that hostile elements sighted east of Babanla were decisively engaged, while concurrent surveillance flights covered key settlements and military positions, generating vital intelligence to enhance ground troop effectiveness.
He emphasized that all missions were successfully completed, reaffirming the Nigerian Air Force’s unwavering commitment to protecting troops and civilians, maintaining air superiority, and sustaining pressure on hostile actors.
The NAF spokesperson urged Nigerians to remain confident and supportive of the Armed Forces as they continue decisive actions to restore lasting peace and security across the country.
