CCST COMMANDER VISITS THEATRE COMMAND OPHK, ADVOCATES STRONGER LOGISTICS SYNERGY

The Commander Corps of Supply and Transport (CCST) of the Nigerian Army, Major General Emmanuel Anaryu, has underscored the importance of timely and realistic logistics feedback in sustaining military operations in the North East.

According to a statement issued by the Media Information Officer of Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, Major General Anaryu made the call on Saturday, 14 September 2025, during his familiarisation visit to the Headquarters Theatre Command OPHK in Maiduguri. He was received by the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar.

In his remarks, the CCST Commander noted that logistics remains the backbone of every military operation. He stressed the need for continuous synergy between the Theatre and the Corps of Supply and Transport to consolidate the successes of OPHK.

He explained that the visit was aimed at obtaining first-hand information on the theatre’s logistics requirements and interfacing directly with field commanders to proffer effective solutions.

While commending the leadership of Major General Abubakar, Major General Anaryu urged commanders to prioritise troops’ welfare and morale in line with the “Soldiers Come First” directive of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede. He further assured of measures to tackle challenges such as shortage of trained drivers and the provision of standard sheds for operational vehicles.

In his response, the Theatre Commander, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, welcomed the CCST Commander and praised the Corps for its unwavering support to OPHK. He pledged sustained collaboration in logistics, training, and operational activities, while commending the quality of officers deployed to the theatre.

The visit also featured an interactive session with field commanders, a presentation on OPHK’s operational activities, exchange of souvenirs, and a group photograph.
