Celebrated Nigerian photojournalist, Aishatu Shateema Bukar, fondly known as Aisha Rabo, has once again etched her name in the books of excellence by emerging 3rd Runner-Up at the African Empire Reality TV Show Season 3 – Heroes Edition, which held from July 29 to August 20, 2025.
Aisha, who hails from Bauchi State, has carved a formidable niche for herself in the Nigerian and African media landscape. With a career spanning over a decade, she has proven to be more than just a storyteller behind the camera lens. She currently serves as a Defence Correspondent with OurNigeria News Magazine and OurNigeriaTV24, where she has distinguished herself through fearless reporting and compelling narratives.
Her journey in the media industry has seen her excel in diverse roles, from working as a Reporter and Marketer with Neptune Prime Online Newspaper, to serving as a Public Relations Assistant at the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), experiences that sharpened her expertise in corporate communications, media relations, and audience engagement.
On the reality show stage, Aisha Rabo displayed not only her charisma and resilience but also her innate ability to inspire and connect with people far beyond the newsroom. Her performance won the admiration of both the judges and viewers, adding yet another milestone to her trailblazing career.
This feat follows a growing list of recognitions, including her recent victory at the 17th edition of the Master at Photos Contest (April 2025), as well as her role representing Nigeria at the prestigious Africa Security Watch Conference in The Gambia (2022).
