Air Chief Hosts NDA Course Mates, Honoured as Patron at Grand Reunion Dinner

The Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on March 28, 2026, hosted members of the Nigerian Defence Academy 40 Regular Course to a reunion dinner that celebrated unity, shared history, and continued service to the nation.

The event, attended by course mates fondly known as the “Fabulous 40,” alongside their spouses and other serving and retired senior officers, provided an opportunity for reflection on years of military training and distinguished careers. The Air Chief was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Ngozi Aneke, President of the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association, adding warmth and prestige to the gathering.

A major highlight of the evening was the investiture of the Air Chief as Patron of the NDA 40 Regular Course. The honour, described as a mark of recognition for his leadership and commitment, underscored the respect he commands among his peers.

In his remarks, Air Marshal Aneke expressed gratitude for the recognition, noting that the course has remained a strong pillar of unity, professional support, and lifelong friendship throughout their careers in the Armed Forces.

Speaking on behalf of the association, its President, E. O. Ferreira, commended the Air Chief for his exemplary leadership and dedication, describing the investiture as well deserved. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the bond among members of the course.

The gathering featured goodwill messages, shared memories, and renewed commitments by members to continue contributing to national security, peace, and the overall development of Nigeria.
