The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified precision air operations across the North-West and North-East, delivering decisive strikes that dismantled terrorist hideouts and neutralised dozens of fighters in Katsina and Borno states.
In a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the NAF confirmed that its aircraft executed two major interdictions on 27 November 2025 under Operation FANSAN YAMMA (OPFY) Sector 2 in Katsina State.
The first strike, carried out around 0630 hours, targeted the fortified base of a notorious terrorist commander behind a series of kidnappings, deadly assaults and cattle rustling across Kankara, Faskari and Malumfashi LGAs. Supported by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), the airstrike destroyed the camp, while follow-up engagements neutralised fighters attempting to escape.
A second air raid at about 1755 hours hit another major terrorist enclave in Danfako, Faskari LGA, destroying logistics stores, structures, equipment and other operational assets. Several terrorists were eliminated, further weakening their network and denying them freedom of action within the North-West.
In the North-East, NAF air power also played a decisive role as troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade, Sector 4 of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), repelled a coordinated multi-front attack by ISWAP/Boko Haram elements on Chibok, Borno State. NAF aircraft, acting on accurate intelligence from ground forces, conducted four major strikes on regrouping insurgents along their withdrawal routes, inflicting significant casualties. Additional precision strikes on fleeing fighters disrupted their escape and shattered their ability to reorganise for further attacks.
The Nigerian Air Force reiterated that these operations reflect its unwavering commitment to delivering precise, intelligence-driven engagements aimed at neutralising threats, safeguarding communities, and restoring stability across the country. The Service also reaffirmed continued collaboration with ground forces and other security agencies to ensure lasting peace nationwide.
