The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) will conduct its annual 10-kilometre Walk/Jog Exercise in Abuja on Saturday, 18 October 2025, as part of efforts to promote the physical fitness, well-being, and operational readiness of its personnel.
In a statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the exercise is scheduled to commence at 6:00 a.m. and conclude by 8:00 a.m. The director noted that the event underscores the importance of physical fitness to military efficiency and effectiveness.
To ensure the safety of participants and the general public, the service lane between Karu Bridge and Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge will be temporarily closed to vehicular movement during the exercise. The NAF assured residents of the Federal Capital Territory that adequate arrangements have been made to minimise any inconvenience, with normal traffic flow resuming immediately after the event.
The statement further appreciated the cooperation and understanding of the public, reaffirming the Service’s commitment to maintaining the fitness and readiness of its personnel in service to the nation.
